PROFILE

2025 was an important year in my darts journey — I dedicated more time to practice and competed in tournaments across Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong, gaining valuable tournament experience and achieving some great results. Outside of darts, I'm a huge fan of Japanese anime and manga (I've watched Attack on Titan nine times!), and one of my dreams is to try cosplay someday. I also love sukiyaki, yakiniku, and especially Taiwanese fresh milk tea — milk tea has almost become part of my tournament routine, and I feel like I play better when I have one with me!

Q What made you start playing darts?

A It all started with a school darts club, where I practiced once a week. During the summer and winter holidays, I might practice twice a week. Although the practice schedule wasn’t very intensive, it was the beginning of my love for darts.
Towards the end of 2024, I discovered that there were darts shops and activities outside of school. I started visiting darts shops to practice and also learned that there were dedicated darts competitions.
From 2025 onwards, I started practicing much more seriously and challenging myself by taking part in different competitions.

Q What are the characteristics or strengths of your playing style?

A Over the past year of competing, I’ve gradually realized that I’m a “competition-type” player. It may sound a little strange to describe myself this way, because competitions are ultimately where we put the results of our practice to the test.
But I think the pressure of competition and playing against different types of players help me stay focused and fully concentrate on every throw. That’s why I often find myself pushing beyond my own limits during competitions.

Q What do you find most appealing about darts?

A When I first started playing darts, practicing by myself was simply about the excitement of hitting a Bull. Then, I wanted to achieve a Low Ton in every round. Later, I became happy when I realized I could hit a Hat Trick more consistently than before. I think that’s what makes darts so enjoyable — taking one step forward at a time.
Competition is a completely different experience. Different people, different venues, and different levels of performance can all lead to different results, even when I make the same throwing motion. Each experience gives me a chance to identify and correct my weaknesses.
What attracts me most to darts is this constant process of learning and adjustment. Through every experience, I can repeatedly refine both my mindset and my physical movements, always looking for ways to improve and achieve better results.

Q What are your goals and ambitions for the future?

A I hope that through continuous practice, I can keep improving myself, stay focused when facing my opponents in competition, and achieve strong results. Even when I face players who are more experienced or stronger than me, I want to remain calm, give my best, and compete with everything I have.
Looking ahead, I hope to achieve even greater results in darts and, one day, become a professional player. I also want to promote darts with passion and dedication, so that more people can discover how enjoyable this sport is, fall in love with it, and become part of the darts community!
