PROFILE

Darts has been a major part of my life for many years, and I enjoy the process of learning, improving, and challenging myself. Representing Malaysia is something I'm always proud of, and darts has given me the opportunity to connect with people around the world. Outside of darts, I enjoy good food, coffee, music, and spending quality time with friends, and I believe in staying humble, enjoying the journey, and continuing to push myself beyond my limits.

What made you start playing darts?
I started playing darts in 2016 while I was studying at university in Taiwan. A friend brought me to a darts venue, and at the time, I didn’t even know how the scoring worked. Everything was completely new to me.

After playing with my friends, I hit the bullseye for the first time and felt such a strong sense of achievement. That moment made me start enjoying darts more and more.

When it was time to choose a university club in my first year, I discovered there was a darts club on campus, so I joined. That was how my darts journey began — and I’ve been playing ever since.
What are the characteristics or strengths of your playing style?
I would describe my playing style as focused, steady, and adaptable. I try to stay composed during matches and trust my rhythm rather than rushing my throws.

One of my strengths is my ability to stay focused and keep fighting, even when a match isn’t going my way. I also enjoy adapting to different opponents and situations, which has helped me gain more experience through competition.

For me, consistency is always the key. I’m still working to improve every part of my game and become a more complete player.
What do you find most appealing about darts?
What I find most appealing about darts is that every throw is a new challenge. No matter how experienced you become, there is always something you can improve.

I also love the mental side of the game. Staying focused, controlling your emotions, and performing under pressure can make a huge difference.

Most importantly, darts has brought me so many opportunities to meet new people, make friends, travel, and experience different cultures. For me, it’s not just about throwing darts — it’s the people, the challenges, and the journey that make the sport special.
What are your goals and ambitions for the future?
My goal is to continue improving year after year and consistently achieve stronger results on both the national and international stage. I want to keep challenging myself, gain more experience, and become a more complete and consistent player.

I also want to make the people who support me proud and show that their support and belief in me are never taken for granted. Representing Malaysia is something I’m proud of, and I hope to continue carrying that responsibility on bigger stages around the world.

I have a long-term goal that I’m still chasing, and until I achieve it, I won’t give up. I believe success doesn’t happen overnight — it comes from staying patient, working hard, learning from every experience, and continuing to move forward.

The journey is still going, and I’ll keep working towards that ultimate goal, one step and one throw at a time.
